About Mettalusso®
🐾 Safety & Use — Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if my pet licks the wipe or their coat after wiping?
The cleansing wipes are labeled for external use only. If your pet licks a small amount of residue from their coat, monitor them for any signs of discomfort. If you notice any unusual reaction, contact your veterinarian promptly. To minimize the chance of ingestion, allow the coat to dry and remove any excess moisture with a dry cloth before your pet self-grooms.
Do I need to rinse the wipes off after use?
No rinse is required — these are designed as a no-rinse grooming wipe. After wiping, allow the coat to air dry naturally. Wipe away any visible excess product with a dry cloth if needed, especially before letting your pet groom themselves.
Which animals are these wipes designed for?
These wipes are formulated for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies, kittens, and senior pets. They are not labeled for use on other animal species. If you have a different type of pet, consult your veterinarian before use.
Are these safe for puppies, kittens, and senior pets?
Yes — the wipes are described as gentle enough for puppies, kittens, and seniors. The formula is pH-correct for pets' skin and made with a non-irritating natural vanilla scent. Always follow the application instructions and avoid contact with eyes.
Can I use these on broken or irritated skin?
No. As stated in the product caution: do not use on broken skin. If your pet has wounds, sores, or active skin irritation, skip the affected area and consult your veterinarian.
When should I contact a veterinarian?
Contact your vet if: your pet shows redness, persistent scratching, or skin irritation after use; your pet ingests a significant amount of product; or any condition develops or persists following grooming. When in doubt, a vet call is always the right choice.

Thank you Christine for sending these wipes when my house burned down in the Palisades fire. My dogs loved them and it made them have “vanilla ears” when I used them for ear wipes. Also because my 14 year old Labrador pees on his paws, they made his feet smell much better! I also loved your skincare line (for humans) and have been using it everyday. So grateful for your kind gift. Now I’m orderin

It works great for my Dachshund/Papillion that patches of long hairs coming out of everywhere & this brush makes her look and feel nice and soft. I don't see the gloss but I'm guessing they mean the softness.and it does work well. My dog didn't mind it either she loves any attention. Thanks Mettalusso!
